On our pages we provide a lot of useful information for a day trip to Cozumel from Playa del Carmen.<\/p>\n When traveling to Cozumel, most of the Mayan Riviera hotels offer transportation to the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen. However, the options offered are usually expensive. Cheaper are the Collectivo busses, which run continuously along the entire route of the Riviera Maya.<\/p>\n The main stop for Collectivos is located in Playa del Carmen where second street meets 10th Avenue, which is about 5 minutes\u2019 walk from the Cozumel ferry. From there you can easily take a collectivo back to your hotel. The collectivos will leave you directly in front of your hotel.<\/p>\n To get to Playa del Carmen from your hotel, you just have to stop one of the numerous collectivos on the main road. These can sometimes be crowded, so you may have to wait for the next free collectivo. About 10 US Dollars (178 pesos) per person covers the fare between the Cancun airport and Playa del Carmen, which leaves once every hour. The bus is very modern with air conditioning, a light jacket is recommended for the ride. A pre-order of the ADO ticket is not necessary, the bus tickets are sold on site. Departure is at Terminal 3. \nThe largest airport on the Yucatan peninsula and the second largest in Mexico is the Cancun airport. Here, most flights and direct flights enter Mexico from Europe.
