Cozumel Animal Sanctuary: Loving home for animals in need
Visit rescued animals and hike in the pristine jungle of Cozumel. Off the beaten path is Luna's Animal Sanctuary, a loving home for more than 20 animals. A large portion of the entrance fee benefits the animals and is used for animal food as well as medical expenses.

Food: Taste local fruits of the season
Jungle Walk: Afterwards Andrea will take you on a one hour walk through the jungle. You will pass by an original cenote and discover a small cave. Andrea will show you the native flora and some that features of the Mexican jungle.
First we visit the Cozumel sanctuary Luna's Animal Sanctuary. We will take a tour of the farm and visit the animals that live a relaxed life there. Help with the feedings, children are welcome to pet the animals. Spend time with horse Vivaldi and donkey Sophie. Numerous ducks, cats, chickens, geese and dogs run free here.
Just behind Luna's Animal Sanctuary is a jungle hiking trail where we discover Cozumel's native flora. This excursion takes about two to three hours.

Cozumel Animal Sanctuary – Food – Jungle Walk
Do something different on your day in Cozumel. On our Cozumel jungle walk with a visit to the Lunas Animal Sanctuary, you are guaranteed to get off the beaten path. Andrea has lived in Cozumel for over 30 years. She loves horses and animals and has built up her own animal sanctuary over the years. For you, Andrea opens the gates of Luna’s Aimal Sanctuary and tells personal animal stories.
Andrea welcomes children and adults. She will be happy to prepare local fruits for you to taste and tell stories about Mexican culture and island life on Cozumel. Andrea will then take you to a Cozumel jungle trail right by Luna’s Animal Sanctuary.
You will pass a natural cenote and discover a small cave. The trail is full of secrets. A unique experience, as there are few public trails through the Cozumel jungle!!! The income for this excursion goes almost entirely to the animals.

Availability
The availability of our excursions can only be guaranteed after confirmation by us. If an excursion is not possible on your desired date, we will suggest another date or refund any payments already received.
Deposit
For a binding reservation we charge a deposit of 20% of the tour price. The remaining payment will be made in CASH on site. Please note that payment on site by credit card is not possible. If you would like to inquire about the tour without a binding reservation, please contact us.
Customization of Excursions
Under special circumstances we adapt our tours to external conditions. We discuss this individually with our customers. Adjustments will be made, for example, if the weather changes at short notice. We also adapt excursions for cruisers to the berthing times of cruise ships.
Cancellation policy
- With the reservation we charge a deposit. We keep these as administration fees for “no-show” guests.
We refund the deposit, if
- You cancel the excursion at least 24 hours before
- If you have to cancel the excursion for whatever reason, please inform us as soon as possible. We might be able to sell the excursion elsewhere and will refund the deposit.

If your cruise ship does not dock in Cozumel on the day you booked, we will be happy to provide you with a voucher for a future visit or refund 50% of your deposit.
