Description

Private Cozumel Boat Tour to El Cielo with Snorkeling

Make the most of your day in Cozumel: with our private boat excursion to El Cielo with snorkeling. This tour brings us to the National Park of Cozumel, with a breathtaking underwater world and coral reefs. Enjoy the peaceful and crystal clear waters of El Cielo, an excellent change from hectic everyday life.

The Private Boat Excursion to El Cielo with Snorkeling is a half day tour. You can choose between the morning and afternoon tour. If you come to us in Cozumel on a cruise ship, please check your lay times with us. The excursion takes about 4 hours. If you want a longer tour, please ask. As a private excursion, the tour can be adapted to the wishes of our guests and further stops can be included.

Cozumel El Cielo and El Cielito

In Spanish, El Cielo means "heaven". It is one of the most spectacular and beautiful spots on Cozumel, if not the entire Caribbean. The white sand shines in the turquoise-blue water. Here we see several starfish spread out in the water. Sometimes stingrays swim in front of us or hide in the sand. El Cielo is a shallow sandbar. We slowly swim to the deeper places where the starfish lie. The water is the color of a swimming pool and the visibility is up to 30 meters.

Snorkeling at Cozumel Colombia Reef

The Colombia Reef on Cozumel is only about 5 minutes away from El Cielo. The shallow part of the Colombia Reef is particularly suitable for snorkeling. At a depth of about 6-7 meters, amazing coral formations await us and with a bit of luck we will find the large parrot fish or a sea turtle. The Colombia Reef is over a kilometer long and offers enough space for a fantastic Cozumel snorkeling experience.

We let ourselves be carried by the current and snorkel along the reef. We don't have to swim back, the boat picks us up at the end of the snorkel stop. Sometimes we see divers among us, the Colombia Reef on Cozumel is a popular diving spot.

Snorkeling at Cozumel Palancar Reef

The large Cozumel Palancar reef is already on the way back and is one of the most famous reefs for snorkeling on Cozumel. There is a shallow part with beautiful corals. This slowly gets deeper and finally ends in a steep wall. In addition to beautiful coral formations, there are many tropical fish. On the steep face, the sun's rays cast magical light formations into the deep blue water. We let the current drift again and are picked up by the boat.

Private Cozumel Sunset Boat Trip

Our private boat tour on Cozumel can also be booked for a romantic getaway into the sunset. This private boat excursion starts flexible and we are guided by the time of sunset. Of course, you can also snorkel or swim, the water is still pleasantly warm in the evening.

More Information

A deposit of $ 10 per person is required to secure your reservation. It can be paid on our reservation page. Please pay the open payment in cash before the tour starts. Please note that payment by credit card is not possible. There are very few ATMs and some might not work.

Small group sizes are important to us. We therefore use smaller boats for our excursions for a maximum of 12 people. This boats do not have a bathroom. If you prefer Cozumel snorkeling in larger groups on larger boats or catamarans, we are happy to make you an alternative offer.

It may happen that our Cozumel snorkeling tour has to be canceled due to bad weather (strong wind and waves). Typical season for this is between November and March. This is an order of the harbor captains and we cannot influence this decision. All Cozumel tour operators are equally affected and the ports in Cozumel remain closed. Also, the safety of our guests is important for us. Our captain is responsible for the boat and the safety of its guests. Sometimes he may decide to cancel a Cozumel snorkel tour due to bad conditions, even if the Cozumel ports are open. If the tour cannot be postponed to another day, we will of course refund your deposit. For other costs incurred (for example, when traveling from Playa del Carmen) we cannot be held responsible. However, we strive for replacement services. In addition, we do everything we can to inform as early as possible about such cancellations.
