We designed this Private Excursion to Tulum especially for cruise ship guests with port Cozumel. During this tour we will visit one of the most important sights of the Riviera Maya: The archeological site Tulum.
From our meeting point in Cozumel we bring you first to the public ferry station and take the ferry to Playa del Carmen. From there we take you straight to the archeological site Tulum. Explore with us the history of the ancient Maya.

Private Excursion to Tulum: Mayan Ruins Tulum

The amazing Mayan ruins of Tulum are situated right next to the ocean!! The original name of the once important Maya site was “Zama”, which means “sunrise”. Tulum was at its height between 1200 and 1400 AD and was built as a trade port. High walls protected three sides of the city, the east side was sheltered by the ocean. Explore the archeological site of Tulum and learn more about the Mayan culture, the meaning of religion and their well developed knowledge. Take amazing pictures of the Mayan ruins, we’ll show you the best places.

Private Excursion to Tulum: Mexican Tacos

After visiting the archaeological site of Tulum, we can use a little refreshment. We will try a typical snack on site before we start our return journey.

If there is enough time, you are welcome to walk around the famous 5ta Avenida in Playa der Carmen before we take the ferry back to Cozumel.

Availability

The availability of our excursions can only be guaranteed after confirmation by us. If an excursion is not possible on your desired date, we will suggest another date or refund any payments already received.

Deposit

For a binding reservation we charge a deposit of 20% of the tour price. The remaining payment will be made in CASH on site. Please note that payment on site by credit card is not possible. If you would like to inquire about the tour without a binding reservation, please contact us.

Customization of Excursions

Under special circumstances we adapt our tours to external conditions. We discuss this individually with our customers. Adjustments will be made, for example, if the weather changes at short notice.  

Cancellation policy

• With the reservation we charge a deposit. We keep these as administration fees for “no-show” guests.

We refund the deposit, if

• You cancel the excursion at least 24 hours before
• If you have to cancel the excursion for whatever reason, please inform us as soon as possible. We might be able to sell the excursion elsewhere and will refund the deposit.
• This excursion was cancelled by Leon Tours

• If your cruise ship does not dock in Cozumel on the day you booked, we will be happy to provide you with a voucher for a future visit or refund 50% of your deposit.
