The Mayan ruins Chacchoben are very authentic and surprisingly well preserved. Architecturally, they were influenced by the Mayan people from Peten-Guatemala, their most important time was between 200 and 900 AD. Today, spider monkeys relax in the structures of the sun and moon pyramid.
Go and discover the ancient world of the Maya, the Mayan heritage can be found everywhere in Mexicos south-east. Ancient temples, the ceremonial center, well-preserved structures, perfectly embedded in the typical flora and fauna. Mayan Ruins Chacchoben
This excursion to Chacchoben is one of the most beautiful Costa Maya excursions and an excellent combination of the best Costa Maya sights. From our meeting point we will drive together in an air-conditioned vehicle to the Mayan ruins of Chacchoben. From Costa Maya, this trip takes about an hour. Experience the history of the ancient Maya up close and discover the cultural highlight of Costa Maya. Excursion to Chacchoben: Archaeological Sites Chacchoben There is much to discover in the Mayan ruins of Chacchoben, next to the town of the same name Chacchoben, where Mayans still live quite remotely. There we travel back in time to the Mayan heyday, when Chacchoben also had its heyday. The constructions there date from the second century to the ninth century AD. We will learn about the local flora and fauna, the Mayan religion and the importance of the sun and moon gods, as well as elements from the architecture. After an extensive tour, we will have some time to look around the nearby Mayan village Chacchoben. There, the descendants of the Maya still live quite isolated in simple houses.

Customization of Excursions
Under special circumstances we adapt our tours to external conditions. We discuss this individually with our customers. Adjustments will be made, for example, if the weather changes at short notice. We also adapt excursions for cruisers to the berthing times of cruise ships.
Cancellation policy
- With the reservation we charge a deposit. We keep these as administration fees for “no-show” guests.
