Private Excursion Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Private Excursions to Chichen Itza: Mayan Ruins Chichen Itza – Swim in a Cenote – Lunch – Colonial City Valladolid
This Chichen Itza Tour is one of the best Excursions in Mexico, combining the “must-sees” of Yucatan. It is a private experience that allows you to create or adjust for your own, perfect adventure. Let us make your Private Chichen Itza Excursion the highlight of your vacation. From our meeting point we take you straight to the archeological site Chichen Itza. It takes about two hours from Playa del Carmen to get there.
Private Excursion to Chichen Itza: Archeological site Chichen Itza
Experience Chichen Itza before the big tour busses arrive. At this time it is less crowded and the temperature is still convenient for a visit of the Mayan ruins. Once in Chichen Itza, we take you on a journey to the ancient Maya. You will learn about the architecture of the temples, the knowledge and religion of the Maya, their social structures and astronomy. The famous pyramid of the important Mayan god Kukulkan rises majestically from the earth. It attracts over 6 million visitors annually. Full of symbols from mathematics, religion and the Mayan calendar, it is perfectly aligned with the sun. We take our time to visit the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza and discover, among other things, the largest ball court in Mesoamerica, the Temple of the Jaguar, the sacred cenote and the observatory. One can easily guess the original size of Chichen Itza, which extends over several square miles.
Private Excursion to Chichen Itza: Cenote
Our next stop is a cenote with amazing lime stone formations. Crystal-clear water in a huge cave invites for a swim. The water is refreshing and we can explore the fantastic stalagtites. After a long stay in the water, we have a typical Mexican lunch included (drinks are extra).
Private Excursion to Chichen Itza: Valladolid
Visit the city center and the local market of Valladolid and get to know the authentic Mexico. The historical city center, the cathedral, the central place Zocalo are typical for Mexican cities. Picturesque buildings decorate the streets and in the evening hours habitants start to crowd downtown. Here you will get a perfect feeling for the Yucatan way of life. During our private Chichen Itza excursions, we are completely flexible and can arrange the day as our guests wish. We are happy to provide suggestions for an unforgettable day and adapt our Chichen Itza excursions to the personal wishes of our guests.

We already knew Leon Tours and Birgit from a previous trip to Tulum starting from the cruise port of Cozumel from November 2019. Now we were looking for organized private excursions for a longer stay on the mainland and found them at Leon Tours. Birgit gave us excellent advice and entrusted Carlos with the implementation of the excursions/sightseeing of Coba, Chichen Itza, Ek Balam including the associated cenotes as well as of Punta Laguna and of Valladolid. Carlos proved to be a very skillful and kind tour guide with a wealth of knowledge and excellent German. He taught us a lot about Mayan history, culture and life, was overly punctual and flexible in planning and carrying out the excursions. It should be added that Birgit also advised us beyond the tours, also concerning Corona (was no problem at all).

We (2 couples) booked a super informative tour to Chichen Itza. We had incredible fun and at the same time got countless information about Chichen Itza. Afterwards we went swimming in a cenote and visited Valladolid. All in all a super brilliant day that was very entertaining. We can recommend Leon Tours 100%!

We booked the private excursion to Chichen Itza with Leon Tours because we like to be among ourselves. Everything was perfectly organized and the excursion was top!!! For lunch we stopped at a cenote that was not crowded at all, the big tour buses went to another cenote. Overall, we felt super cared for and would book the excursion again at any time so.

We booked our transfers as well as an excursion to Chichen Itza. Everything worked perfectly. With the previously exchanged cell phone number came before always again the Whats App reminder of pickup time and place. The drivers were friendly and our tour guideTanya has carried out the trip great. Thank you very much and see you soon.

We did a private tour and went with Juan Carlos to Chichén Itza with a visit to a cenote, Valladolid and are thrilled. I did a similar tour 2 years ago in a large group and therefore have the direct comparison between group tour and private tour. The extra charge is worth it!!! Chichén Itza is a must see, but of course it has many people. However, we never had to wait long and could easily avoid the crowds all day. I also liked the cenote much better than the crowded Ik Kil Cenote and the food was very authentic and super tasty! Juan Carlos does an excellent job and is a great person. A Mexican who knows everyone and everything and still speaks perfect German – what more could you want?

We had booked a tour to Chichén Itzá with Leon Tours. The communication was flawless.
Our guide could tell us a lot about the archaeological sites. Away from the sites, we drove to a gorgeous cenote.
If you are looking for private tours far away from mass tourism, Leon Tours is perfect for you.

We had booked the Chichen Itza with Cenote and Valladolid tour. Everything worked out great. Carlos our tour guide has told a lot about the history of the Maya and Mexico. If there were six stars, they would be justified.
